Location: TANNERIES district, Ormos Karlovassi, Samos

Identity:
Visual artists, university professors, builders that were born elsewhere, studied elsewhere and work everywhere. BIG BLUE with the support of the Aegean University School of Sciences presents this pioneering contemporary art show in Karlovassi Samos from 1-31 August 2010 in the TANNERIES district waterfront in Ormos Karlovassi, Samos.

22 International visual and performing artists from Greece, Turkey, Sweden, Austria, Bulgaria, France, England, Germany, Tunisia, Algeria and Australia.

Artists: Sofiane Ait Chalalet, Anastasia Andreadi, Harun Antakyali, Phedra Blanchart, Stella Bolonaki, Marianne Catzaras, Julien Danylard, Amandine Dovelos, Atila Ilkyaz, Feyza Ilkyaz,Natasha Kaliva, Dimitris Katsivas, Gerti Kiriazi, Alek Lindus, John Lindus, Peter Muller, Alexandra Patova, Andreas Ribbung, Vangelis Rinas, Maria Sevastaki, Kitty Stirling, Kareena Zerefos.

Sectors of exhibit: painting, sculpture, photography, installations, video art, interactive public art performances.

Aims:
• To select talented artists from all over the globe that have something to say through visual art media.
• To build an international art community of visual artists on the borders of Europe and Asia Minor seeking to experiment and express thoughts and ideas through new media without censorship.
• To create an artistic group that is socially and consciously aware that art needs to be connected with the community.

In this time of economical and social troubles art, geology, technology, and science are writing another chapter on humanity...
